Like many older cars, my Z3 had such foggy headlights that the light kind of just dribbled out. Here's the "before" shot:
Fortunately, my good friend John has the equipment and the technique to make it better! He starts with a sander that uses little 2-inch disks, working his way through 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit disks:
Then, he switches to an 8" random orbit buffer, using two different types of polishing compound in succession.
A coat of hard wax (Griot's Best of Show) is added using the buffer, with a final hand polishing.
Quite a difference, wouldn't you say!
