Truth in Advertising

On a recent vacation, we took a modest side trip to the town of Leonardtown, MD, for the sole purpose of visiting a book store:

Sadly, the guide we were reading failed to mention that Fenwick St. Used Books and Music is closed on Mondays. But since we were there, we walked around a bit.
There, we found that Leonardtown is a very modest burg, as evidenced by their town slogan on banners here and there:

For all the towns nationwide that oversell and under-deliver, this was a breath of fresh air. And, it created a fun game as we tried to imagine other, similarly modest town slogans:

"Better Than Nothing"
"What You See Is What You Get"
"Not So Bad, Really" (my personal favorite)

With that modest intro, we were surprised that the local GM dealer had a shrine of sorts, to the Camaro musclecar (plus one Firebird). Here's a brief video:

A nearby restaurant had these inspirational words to share:

Later that day, we stopped for lunch at the River Haven Restaurant, and found this delicacy:

Give up? It's a deep-fried Snickers bar!
